you're lame.

On voting day I stay home and masturbate. The only difference between what you do and what I do is that, at the end of the day, I have a little something to show for my trouble.

That may be true for you, but I happen to live somewhere that my vote actually makes a difference. Last time around, my riding was decided by about 250 votes.

The cartoon is making a very serious comment. In the last Canadian general election only 25% of youth voters cast a ballot, yet no one seems to bitch more about how unfair and detached government is than that same group.

so true. im glad there are still people out there who know that voting really will have an impact. if the youth from my home town voted, we would no longer have a conservative riding. and that would make me happy. and would also make me want to go home.

Vote - masturbate - masturbate - vote. Hmmm. Well, I know what I... uh, I mean what most young people would choose.

It is tragic. Youth apathy is dreadful, but I don't accept that politicians are entirely to blame. There have been huge efforts by politicians and political parties to engage youth in this country, and the majority just run a mile. It's not cool, it's boring, it's too much like school, whateva.

Course, most people older than, oh, say, 29 ish, know perfectly well that everyone under that age is too busy throwing shit around the streets and pissing against walls in half drunk beligerent gangs harassing passers by and plotting crimes and smoking pot just wasting their days away whining and complaining that they have nothing to do to be even remotely interested in politics. Damn youth of today.

I may or not be being cynical and/or facetious. Here and there, anyway. ;)
