So Domestic

I roasted a chicken today. I guess I just felt like it was time to make this new place really feel like home. It turned out pretty well considering I've never roasted anything at all before.

We seem to have made a pretty good choice when we signed the lease for this place. I'm happy with the actual place and I like the neighborhood, even if it can be a little noisy at night with a live music venue right across the street. It can be a bit of a trek to class, but I'd rather commute than live on campus and deal with the crap I had to last year.

The new job is also going well. It's not exactly a dream job, but at least I have been making good use of the discount.

My classes, on the other hand, have already become boring which is exceptional considering I have skipped about half of them. Boo-urns to learning.

Keep on Tranglin,
Anthony

Ubie: Sadly, no.

Nick: I'm actually an above average student. I have an A average in my major and a B+ overall. So In your face and what not.

Scarla: Potatoes AND carrots.

So then you like to just talk a big "I'm a bad student" talk. Show off.

Did your chicken split in half? If you don't tie their legs together, sometimes they split in half when they roast.

Nick, I am a bad student in the sense that I often skip class, hand in work late and don't do my readings, but I'm a good student in the sense that I still manage to get high marks.

Ubermilf, no it didn't split. It was pretty much perfect except that it needed a bit more colour. One of the previous tenants got a little overzealous when cleaning the oven and rubbed the temp markings right off the dial, so I pretty much had to guess what temp I was cooking at. The meat thermometer wasn't much indication of correct cooking temperature, but it did end up fully cooked, juicy, tender and infused with the flavours of lemon and rosemary.
