Hello Blog, long time no see

I haven't blogged in several weeks, but I really don't have much to discuss. Work is going well. My superiors are impressed with my abilities and are giving me more challenging and rewarding jobs to do. I wish the rewards included more money but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. Home is boring but not terrible because I spend so little time awake while my parents are also awake. Social Life is dead other than occasional weekend excitement.

The election is over and despite my last minute waffling I stuck to my guns and voted for Gary Price of the NDP. He lost, I knew he would, but I couldn't in good conscious vote for Janko Peric and indirectly for Paul Martin, two men that I hate more than Steven Harper even if I prefer their politics. They're both wolves in sheep's clothing anyways. A Paul Martin liberal government is more conservative than the Conservative Party of 20 years ago. So I'm not overly disappointed in the poor showing of the liberal party in the election. I am however disappointed that it appears as though it will be impossible for the NDP to hold the balance of power in Parliament because the Liberal and NDP seats together are 1 short of a majority. Oh well, it will make for very interesting but slow moving politics.

So I drank on the weekend. The Tim 24 was enjoyable, however I am still only now remembering parts of it, and I'm sure a lot of it will be gone permanently. It was a record for me, the most drunk I've ever been without puking the same day, the most times I've puked in a restaurant toilet (3), the most drunk I've ever been and the worst hangover I've ever had. It's also the first time I've woken up outside after going to sleep inside and the first time I've ever woken up to notice that my face had been written upon. I'm not sure if it's the most I've ever had to drink though because I wasn't really keeping track of how much Vodka-melon I ate and since there is really no way of knowing just how much Malibu, Captain Morgan's and Citrus Twist Smirnoff the Best family dumped into that gourd it's really just a guess. I know that I did have 6 tall boys of Stella, a Keith's, and a Corona so I would have been really drunk even if I hadn't had any booze soaked melon. Actually now that I remember, there was so much liquor in that watermelon that it was mostly liquid and very little melon...

So now that the summer is progressing I am starting to get very excited about moving to Toronto permanently and getting an apartment with Jen and Lisa. I keep thinking about things that I need to buy and about all the money I need to save. I know it's going to be great. There is one thing that keeps nagging at me though, it's weird but I keep thinking about how I'd rather live with Patrick. I don't think it would have really occurred to me but he seems to be really bothered when Lisa and I talk about finding an apartment or about things we need. He also once brought something up about me being the only person he could share an apartment with without eventually hating his room mate. I never really talked to him about it, but I guess he was really looking forward to living with me too. There isn't much that can be done for next year now but we always have 2005.
So that is the good and the bad in the life that is mine at this moment.

Keep on Trangling,
Anthony Pereira
